With the heavy weekend rainfall that has hit Vinovo subsiding in the middle of the night, the Bianconeri returned to a drier Juventus Center this morning to continue their preparations for Friday night’s trip to the Artemio Franchi, where they will line up against eighth-placed Fiorentina.
While his team-mates were out training, Kwadwo Asamoah was in Barcelona to undergo arthroscopic surgery designed to fix torn cartilage in his left knee. Operated on by Dr. Cugat and accompanied by club doctor Causarano, the Ghanaian is expected to return to competitive action within three to four months.
Also going under the knife is Romulo, whose adductor-pubic region will be operated on by Dr. Cohen in San Paolo. The player, owned by Hellas Verona, is to be supervised by medical staff from his parent club, who will remain in constant contact with Bianconeri doctors.
The remainder of the first team squad will regroup on the training ground early tomorrow morning, when the specific tactics and movements to be deployed in Florence are expected to form the basis of the session.
