Sebastian Giovinco was back in the Juventus starting eleven for his first outing of the season as the Bianconeri swept Cesena aside 3-0 in Turin this evening.

The forward shone throughout and spoke to Sky in his post-match interview after going close to opening his account for the campaign: “The goal didn’t come, but I’m satisfied with how the match went. It would have been the perfect night, but I’ll save myself for next time.”

Going on to speak about his own personal performance, the 27-year-old said: “One of my best performances? On the whole, it was a great game but there have been times when I’ve been asked to play a certain way and I’ve done it well and other times it hasn’t come off. But I feel we’re on the right track.”

Whilst Juventus were celebrating their victory on the pitch, the Giallorossi were also registering an important success over in Parma and Giovinco concluded proceedings with a quick word on the Bianconeri’s closest rivals: “Roma are definitely up there: we have to take it game by game but they’re not putting a foot wrong either.”
