After sampling their first taste of the playing surface at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium this morning, Juventus returned to their Indonesian training base after lunch for a memorable workout played out in front of over 5,000 passionate local supporters.
Delighted at the opportunity of seeing their heroes train up close, Indonesian fans made their voices heard throughout the entire duration of the two-hour session, chanting a selection of favourite chants to push the Bianconeri on in humid conditions.
With one eye on tomorrow’s game against the ISL All Stars, Massimiliano Allegri took the opportunity to personally guide the midfielders and attackers through various movements to be deployed in the final third, while his assistants Marco Landucci and Maurizio Trombetta presided over defensive matters.
An energetic workout was rounded off by an equally lively practice match, in which a Leonardo Bonucci double ensured Carlos Tevez’s solitary strike was not enough to snatch victory away from the team in orange.
Excitement in the stands is expected to reach fever pitch tomorrow when the Bianconeri put today’s work into practice against the ISL All Stars at 20.00 local time.
