The Bianconeri have officially got this summer’s Asia-Pacific tour up and running after touching down in Jakarta at 22.00 local time tonight.
Despite the 11,000 kilometre distance separating the Indonesian capital and Turin, Juventus were made to feel more than at home by the 2,000 fans outside the team hotel, who kept spirits high by singing all the team’s classic chants in perfect Italian.
Their arrival refused to disappoint, with Massimiliano Allegri’s men treated to a rapturous welcome after spending a total of 14 hours in the air. In turn, the players rewarded a host of fans who had waited patiently inside the hotel by stopping to sign autographs.
The Bianconeri will launch their preparations for Wednesday’ s exhibition match against an Indonesian Selection when they step foot in the 88,000-capacity Gelora Bung Karno Stadium for their first training session tomorrow morning.
