A few hours after making their return from the capital following last night’s superb 3-0 triumph over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico, it was back to work for Juventus in Vinovo.

With spirits high in the camp after the Bianconeri restored their three-point advantage over Roma at the summit of Serie A, Massimiliano Allegri wasted no time in putting his men through their paces ahead of Wednesday’s crucial Champions League Group A clash with Malmo in Sweden, with 300 fans cheering on every move in the Juventus Center stand during this morning’s open training session.

Aside from Stephan Lichtsteiner, who conducted a warm-down out on the training ground, all those who featured in yesterday’s victory underwent a recovery session in the gym.

Elsewhere, while Kwadwo Asamoah, Angelo Ogbonna and Luca Marrone focused on their individual regimes, the remainder of the group worked on moving the ball around with pace before sharpening up their precision in front of goal.

These drills were put into practice during a six-a-side game in which Sebastian Giovinco’s hat-trick and goals from Arturo Vidal, Kingsley Coman and Federico Mattiello handed the team in red a 6-4 win. On target for the opposition were Patrice Evra, Alvaro Morata and Simone Pepe with a double.

The session concluded with a series of sprints and changes in direction, while Evra continued to work individually with the ball, whipping in a number of crosses from the left flank.

Tomorrow afternoon will see Allegri lead a full group of players during the team’s penultimate training session ahead of Tuesday’s departure for Sweden.
