After spending ten days working without a significant portion of his first-team squad, Massimiliano Allegri was today able to welcome the seven Italy internationals, Kingsley Coman and Alvaro Morata back to Juventus Center for an afternoon session.
With Stephan Lichtsteiner, Patrice Evra, Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal, Roberto Pereyra and Kwadwo Asamoah to follow, Juventus are continuing to raise the intensity of their preparations for Saturday’s fixture against Sassuolo with each coming day.
While Gigi Buffon trained separately with coach Claudio Filippi, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Claudio Marchisio and Andrea Pirlo joined Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Simone Pepe for a workout that focused exclusively on fitness and conditioning.
The remainder of the squad contested a 50-minute practice match in which both sides featured a blend of first-team and Primavera players. A solitary Alvaro Morata strike and double from Sebastian Giovinco edged proceedings in a 3-2 victory for those in red, with Anastasios Donis and Luca Clemenza finding the target for their opposition.
