During Friday’s international matches involving the Bianconeri, Arturo Vidal played 76 minutes as Chile registered an emphatic 5-0 friendly victory over Venezuela in Talcahuano.

Alexis Sanchez put the hosts in front after 17 minutes before Jorge Valdivia doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time.

It was three ten minutes after the restart when Eduardo Vargas turned home and Rodrigo Millar and Pedro Pablo Hernandez added more gloss to the result with two further goals in the final quarter of an hour.

Earlier on in the evening, Paul Pogba completed 90 minutes as France pegged Albania back to draw 1-1 in Rennes.

Defender Mergim Mavraj gave the visitors a half-time lead but Les Bleus – who dominated proceedings throughout the friendly – equalised with 17 minutes left through young winger Antoine Griezmann.

Both Vidal and Pogba’s respective national sides are in action on Tuesday 18 November, with La Roja playing Uruguay in Santiago de Chile and the French hosting Sweden in Marseille.

Tonight sees the turn of Alvaro Morata, who has been called up to the senior Spanish squad for the very first time, and the two-time European Championship winners take on Belarus in a Group C Euro 2016 qualifier in Huelva.

Elsewhere, Stephan Lichtsteiner’s Switzerland face Lithuania in St Gallen at the same time, looking to keep up with early pacesetters England at the summit of Group E.
