Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella believes tomorrow night’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg clash with Juventus has all the ingredients required for an enthralling night of cup football at the Artemio Franchi.
With a 2-1 deficit to overturn from March’s first leg at Juventus Stadium, Montella expects the Bianconeri to come out all guns blazing and is therefore warning his men of the need for cool heads in the heat of the battle.
Speaking to the media in Florence, the 40-year-old said: “We have a slight advantage, but I think it will be an open game and an extremely difficult one at that.
“Juventus are a strong side with a great mentality and play the same football both home and away, also scoring plenty on the road, and that’s something that should serve as an added motivation for us.
“We’ll perform with plenty of heart and desire, but also need to maintain clear heads throughout the game. It’s a great encounter for us and the fans to be involved in.”
