Alvaro Morata was all smiles after earning the Bianconeri a crucial three points in this evening’s 1-0 win over Palermo, a success he believes takes on a greater significance given the hosts’ strength on home turf.
The Spanish frontman bagged his tenth goal of the campaign in all competitions at the Renzo Barbera and says he will keep working hard to ensure the goals continue to flow.
Speaking after the final whistle, the 22-year-old began: “It’s not easy to play here and we put in a decent performance. Palermo have conceded very few goals on home soil, so they’re three extremely important points we’ve claimed ahead of our trip to Germany.
“The hard work on the training ground pays off. I’ve had opportunities to score more in the past, so I need to get my head down and keep working hard for the team.”
