Pavel Nedved’s incredible finish on Matchday 1 of the 2004/05 Champions League campaign that saw Juventus come away from Amsterdam with all three points is among a 60-strong shortlist for UEFA’s best goal award.

Casting our mind back to that September evening, Mauro Camoranesi had initially seen a shot blocked before feeding the onrushing Nedved who chipped a stranded Maarten Stekelenburg after 42 minutes to settle a tense encounter.

The Czech’s goal that night was a piece of brilliance that has not gone unnoticed with UEFA listing it among good company for the best goal scored since the administrative body’s inception back in 1954.

Those who rate the goal are automatically entered into a prize draw to win various UEFA goodies and you’ve got until 25 November to cast your vote over on uefa.com with the winner to be revealed on 1 December!

So let's rally together and ensure the midfield maestro’s moment of magic comes out on top by voting here.
