Angelo Ogbonna praised the contribution of two-goal Carlos Tevez when reflecting on this evening’s 3-0 win over Atalanta.
The defender has started the last two consecutive games and continues to impress in an unfamiliar role on the right-hand side of defence.
But the ever-modest Ogbonna, who helped the Bianconeri to their fifth successive clean sheet of the season, was quick to deflect any compliments that came his way after the game, instead choosing to focus on the Argentine’s impact.
Speaking to journalists in Bergamo, the 26-year-old said: “We had a few issues at the start of the game, but that’s perfectly understandable, then Carlos did well to both break the deadlock and put the game to bed. With respect to last season, we move the ball around a lot more, enabling him to cover greater ground.”
