Pogba’s World Cup adventure ends in Rio

Paul Pogba and France have departed the World Cup at the quarter-final stage after Mats Hummels’ early goal on 12 minutes tipped yesterday’s quarter-final in the favour of Germany.

The Bianconeri midfielder, whose goal in the midweek 2-0 win over Nigeria put Les Bleus on their way to a place in the last eight, featured for the entire 90 minutes as France bowed out at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana.
