In the second game of pre-season, Grosso’s young Bianconeri beat Chieri 2-0 in Valle d’Aosta and will next take to the field in an international tournament on Saturday

Pre-season preparations are in full swing for the Primavera Bianconeri in Chatillon.

After overseeing a good workout against Lecce’s first-team, Fabio Grosso spoke highly of his side’s mental strength and commitment and the young guns took heed of their manager’s words during the second friendly of pre-season played once more at the Stadio Brunod.

The bright signs from the first game were on show yet again as goals from Luca Clemenza and Hector Otin ensured the young Bianconeri overturned Chieri, a team who ply their trade in Serie D, 2-0.

The impressive performances in the two games thus far have given Grosso much food for thought. In just under two weeks at Chatillon, the Primavera boss has been working hard to try and get his players up to full fitness whilst harnessing the group’s understanding before the new season.

Next up for the Primavera Bianconeri will be the Aesch International tournament in the city of Basel. Kick-off times are as follows:

Saturday 2 August 11.00 CET: Juventus v Hamburg

Saturday 2 August 14.45 CET: Juventus v Basel

Saturday 2 August 17.15 CET: Aesch FC v Juventus
