Fabio Grosso’s youngsters get off to a flying start courtesy of an opening day 4-1 away triumph over Varese

The Primavera saw in the new campaign in style with this afternoon’s emphatic 4-1 away victory over Varese.

Off to a fine start through Anastasios Donis and Jakub Hromada, the dismissal of Alhassane Soumah just shy of the hour mark and subsequent Varese goal threatened to complicate matters for Fabio Grosso’s youngsters.

But the Bianconeri failed to let their numerical disadvantage knock them off course and wrapped up a fine success through injury-time strikes from King Udoh and Grigoris Kastanos.

Next week will see the Primavera play their first home game of the campaign, with Spezia providing the opposition on Saturday 13 September in Vinovo.
