Tevez voted J-Member MVP for September

Last May, just before celebrating Juve’s 32nd Scudetto win, Carlos Tevez received the player of the season accolade. Hundreds of J-Members voted for him.

Just four months later, the Apache once again finds himself at the top of the monthly MVP charts. According to members of the online Bianconeri community, Tevez was Juve’s best player in September. In fact, the Argentine striker won the vote by a veritable landslide!

The “MVP powered by Hanwha” award will be presented to Tevez by a lucky J-Member at Juventus Stadium tomorrow, just before kick-off in the big match against Roma.

Tevez has certainly started the season where he left off last time around, delivering top-drawer performances and decisive goals alongside his signature never-say-die attitude.

A quick glance at the statistics confirms this. Tevez has already had eight shots at goal, scoring half of them. There was one each against Milan and Udinese alongside the brace away at Atalanta. What’s more, his goals have been all-important in consolidating the Bianconeri’s place at the top of Serie A.

Also in September, Tevez scored twice against Malmo to break the Swedes’ resistance in the Champions League. The Argentine is not just a finisher, though, having created 14 goal-scoring chances and provided one assist (for Marchisio to make it 2-0 against Udinese). He also boasts an 88% pass-completion rate.

In other words, Tevez is a deserving winner of this award.
