The Primavera made it six wins in eight league outings as they dispatched Carpi 2-1 in Emilia-Romagna earlier on Saturday afternoon.

Fabio Grosso’s side went ahead after only four minutes through Younes Bnou-Marzouk’s perfectly-placed header before the hosts equalised 120 seconds into the second half thanks to a Franceso Tahiraj spot-kick.

But that goal didn’t deter the Primavera who retook the lead 12 minutes from time, Francesco Cassato striking for a deserved success on the road.

Grosso will hope his team can keep this rich vein of form going when they welcome midtable Bologna to Vercelli on Friday 10 April.
