Fourth-placed Valencia are the next obstacle for Carlo Ancelotti’s men to hurdle as they look to close the two-point gap on league leaders Barcelona on Saturday night

Real Madrid will be aiming to maintain their pursuit of league leaders Barcelona when they entertain fourth-placed Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night at 20.00 CET.

Seven straight domestic successes have reduced the gap on Luis Enrique’s men to just two points, but with three games remaining of the domestic campaign they know only a slip up can give them hope of snatching the title away from their traditional rivals.

The Catalan giants, who beat Bayern Munich 3-0 in their Champions League semi-final first leg on Wednesday night, are hoping to exact revenge on Real Sociedad after slipping to a 1-0 defeat against the Basques in January, with kick-off at the Nou Camp scheduled for 18.00.
