The Bianconeri’s Brazilian midfielder takes time out from training to answer fans’ questions in an exclusive Twitter Q&A session

After being put through his paces in Wednesday morning’s workout in Vinovo, summer signing Hernanes swapped trainers for tablet, logging in to chat all things Juventus with fans on Twitter, ranging from his boyhood idols to first thoughts on his new home to the Brazilian’s Champions League ambitions.

Once in position and having greeted his social media public with an introductory video, il Profeta set to work tackling the vast number of questions sent in by Bianconeri via the hashtag #AskHernanes.

The first teaser picked out by the 30-year old got proceedings off to the best possible start as the midfielder explained his motivation for joining Juventus in the summer: to win trophies and to play in the Champions League.

As for what it feels like to take to the Juventus Stadium pitch on the biggest stage of them all? Second to none.

Moving on to overall impressions and experiences of  Serie A, il Profeta, so named by a journalist in Brazil for his tendancy to quote the Bible, underlined the quality of tactical coaching in Italy. Commenting on new boss Massimiliano Allegri, Juve’s number 11 added that not only is the Tuscan typical of Italian coaches in this respect, but is also a fine communicator.

As fans sought to get a better understanding of the man behind the jersey, the Bianconeri playmaker turned his attentions to his boyhood heroes, including ex-Juve stars, as well as offering his thoughts on his new home, Turin “a small but calm and very pretty city.”

Via briefly discussing his versatility on the field stating he was “happy playing anywhere in midfield when the moment is right,” the South American star showed off his musical talents, producing an admirable rendition of the club’s iconic anthem, “Juve, storia di un grande amore,” before rounding off his date with the Bianconeri faithful with a heartfelt message of thanks.

The thanks were all ours, Profeta!
