Juventus were crowned 2015 best Twitter campaign winners at the #TwitterAwards last night for the #SeAndiamoInFinale intiative.

Launched on the eve of last season’s Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid, the club’s creation culminated in Bianconeri fan Nicolò De Marchi famously fulfilling his promise of walking from Turin to Berlin for May’s showpiece at the Olympiastadion.

Staged in Milan, the #PoweredByTweets event was organised by social media giant Twitter, which now has as many as 320 million users around the world.

Yesterday’s prestigious accolade, received on behalf of the club by Head of Marketing and Digital Federico Palomba, is the second to have been won by Juventus in the last month after a gold medal at the IF! Festival as part of the Art Directors Club Italiano awards, also staged in Milan.

Key factors contributing to the success of #SeAndiamoFinale were both the effectiveness of the campaign’s message and the scale of fan engagement with it, reaching an estimated 18 million unique users, according to figures published by Twitter Italia CEO Salvatore Ippolito.

Naturally, the initiative’s impact did not go unnoticed by the world’s media, with UEFA.COM and the BBC among those reporting on the project and hailing Nicolò’s remarkable commitment to the cause.

Currently, Juventus Football Club has a total of 3 million followers across its five **Italian**, **English**, **Spanish**, **Japanese** and **Indonesian** language accounts with the Italian page topping the country's independently calculated Blogometer standings (link in Italian).
