The talented left-back explains why the Bianconeri represent an ideal fit for his ambitions during this afternoon’s official unveiling as a Juventus player

Alex Sandro has revealed his determination to make a success of his move to Juventus after officially being unveiled as Bianconeri player at Juventus Stadium this afternoon.

The 24-year-old, who has signed a five-year contract, explained how he views his new club as the ideal location to continue his personal development and challenge for major honours.

He began: "Juventus was the perfect choice for me. Coming here will help me to grow as both a person and player. As a team, we're working hard and will strive to win all the competitions we're involved in this season."

"I always give 100% to win. I'm confident I'll be able to show my qualities."

While under no illusions of the challenges that go hand in hand with switching countries, the former Porto man has set his sights on making a positive impact in his new surroundings.

“Serie A is a tough league and the most tactical in the world. I am sure that the experience will improve me as a footballer.  I always give 100% to win. I'm confident I'll be able to show my qualities both during games and on the training pitch.”

After arriving in Turin last Thursday, the Brazilian full-back is only just getting to know his team-mates but expressed his delight at joining a club he admitted to admiring since childhood.

"Playing here has always been a dream for me and now it's coming true. As a boy, I loved watching (Alessandro) Del Piero and (David) Trezeguet in the black and white,” he said, adding that he looks up to Patrice Evra as one of his major inspirations in the game.

Having watched the Bianconeri’s opening match of the season against Udinese from the bench, Alex Sandro rounded off the press conference by stating his intentions to get his own campaign off and running next Sunday against Roma.

He concluded: “It will be a difficult match against a strong side, but I’m ready to play.”
