Alex Sandro sees a Bianconeri side on the up after a second consecutive assist for the Brazilian seals a 1-0 win over rivals Milan at Juventus Stadium

Alex Sandro may not be a master of the Italian language just yet but few can question his attacking input in recent weeks as the Brazilian’s deft assist sealed a memorable Juventus Stadium win for the second consecutive match.

Speaking to the media moments after the game in his native Portuguese, the flying full-back would not be caught getting carried away with Saturday evening’s win, commenting instead on the Bianconeri’s growing confidence and belief as the games pass by.

“It was a good feeling to get the win. There are areas in which we can improve both offensively and defensively to ensure we control games better. We’re taking each game as it comes and we have the trust and belief of our fans. There’s a long season ahead and we won’t be getting carried away just yet.”

As Juve’s summer arrival from Porto says, there will be no time for the Bianconeri to bask in this evening’s victory as the small matter of Wednesday’s visit of Champions League Group D leaders Manchester City looms large on the horizon.

“Our next goal is to qualify for the Champions League knockouts and to make sure we’re in a good position in the league before the Christmas break.”

A continuation of the Brazilian’s adventurous forays forward down the left-hand side and match-winning assists should see the Old Lady do just that.
