Club president Andrea Agnelli confirms that Massimiliano Allegri has prolonged his stay with Juventus by a further season

Massimiliano Allegri has today extended his contract by a further year, keeping him with the club until 30 June 2017.

The 47-year-old, who led Juventus to the club’s 33rd Scudetto title, tenth Coppa Italia triumph and a Champions League final in an extraordinary first season at the helm, will now look to build on the giant strides made during his opening 12 months in Turin.

Confirming the agreement during this afternoon’s press conference to announce Claudio Marchisio’s contract renewal, club president Andrea Agnelli expressed his delight at Allegri’s decision to prolong his stay in the Bianconeri hotseat.

Allegri is our leader and has enjoyed an extraordinary first season at the helm, taking the team on to another level
