Massimiliano Allegri says he is encouraged by the Bianconeri’s reaction to falling behind this evening at Juventus Stadium, with Alvaro Morata’s first-half goal opening the floodgates for a 3-1 win over Bologna.

An early Rossoblu strike in the fifth minute had threatened to spoil Juventus’ Sunday, but the hosts stormed back in the second half through efforts from Paulo Dybala and Sami Khedira - the German’s first in the black and white stripes.

And after recording their maiden Serie A victory of the season on home soil, the 48-year-old says his men will now rest up ahead another busy run of games, starting with a trip to face league leaders Inter in a fortnight’s time.

Speaking to the media at Juventus Stadium, Allegri began: “After falling behind we created a great deal this evening. After our last two league games, we needed to get back to winning ways and start climbing the table. Now it’s important for us to recharge the batteries, as the Champions League is an energy-sapping competition, and aim for consistency and stability on the pitch.”

On Khedira, the Tuscan tactician added: “Sami’s an important figure for us. He gives us international experience and hasn’t regressed in these past six months. He’s a generous guy and a great pro.”
