Banti to officiate Super Cup final

Luca Banti has been named referee for Saturday evening’s Super Cup final between Juventus and Lazio in Shanghai.

The 41-year-old is to take charge of his 24th encounter involving the Old Lady in all competitions, with the club’s record under his tutelage currently standing at 16 victories, four draws and three defeats.

Banti, who hails from Livorno, will officiate his second ever match between Juventus and Lazio after refereeing the Bianconeri’s Coppa Italia reverse to the Roman side in 2013.

He’ll be flanked in Shanghai by assistant referees Filippo Meli and Gianluca Cariolato, goal-line officials Gianluca Rocchi and Paolo Tagliavento and fourth official Antonio Damato.
