After netting the Bianconeri’s equaliser that paved the way for a brilliant comeback to beat former club Fiorentina on Sunday evening, Juan Cuadrado called for his team-mates to further stretch their run of six straight Serie A successes.
Speaking after his side’s latest triumph at Juventus Stadium, the Colombian winger began: “I’m delighted with the win tonight. It was very important for us to get all three points, but we know that the season is long and we need to keep working hard in every match in order to be in the top three positions in the league.
“We knew that Fiorentina would present tough opposition, they enjoyed a great deal of possession. We needed to be very well organised to counter their threat and limit them to just that one chance from which they scored the penalty. I think that ultimately we deserved the victory.”
Next up for Cuadrado and company is Wednesday’s Coppa Italia encounter at home to Torino, against whom the 27-year-old netted the winner in the first Derby Della Mole of the season back in October.
Commenting on the upcoming cup tie, he concluded: “It’s another massive match for us and we want to prepare as best we can for it. We’re keen to keep showing our winning qualities and extend this run of form that we’re on.”
