Goalkeeper Marco Storari completes a move to Cagliari following five trophy-laden seasons with the Bianconeri

Marco Storari has brought down the curtain on his time with Juventus after completing a move to Cagliari this afternoon.

Signed from Milan in 2010, Storari promptly became an integral figure of a dressing room that propelled the club to four successive Scudetto titles, always willing to offer encouragement and advice to those around him.

His role as Gigi Buffon’s deputy may have seen him take a back seat as far as first-team duties were concerned, but when given the nod, he always proved up to the task with reliable and consistent displays between the sticks.

This commitment and dedication to the cause was particularly evident in last season’s win over Inter at the San Siro, when a miraculous double save denied both Rodrigo Palacio and Mauro Icardi from point-blank range, and the unforgettable Coppa Italia final win over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

Having lifted four Scudetti, two Italian Super Cups and one Coppa Italia, the 38-year-old will now embark on a fresh challenge with a club he represented on loan in 2008, Cagliari.

All associated with Juventus Football Club wish Marco all the very best for this new chapter of his career.
