An energetic display in midfield and a maiden goal of the campaign for Stefano Sturaro against Palermo on Sunday evening are indicative of Juventus’ upward mobility, as Massimiliano Allegri’s men clinched their fifth consecutive victory in all competitions, whilst moving to within six points of the Serie A summit.

Speaking to journalists after his team’s 3-0 triumph at the Stadio Renzo Barbera, Sturaro began: “Winning definitely boosts confidence and the longer we continue to get results we’ll keep seeing improvements in our performances.

“We’ve climbed up a couple of places in the table, but we still need to get closer to the top in order to start realising our objectives for the campaign.”

The 22-year-old, who netted at the ground where he made his Bianconeri debut last season, stressed his side have made big strides forward in recent weeks.

“We’re in better shape physically and we’ve become more compact. We’re improving many aspects of our game, but there are still areas we need to work on.”

Sturaro and company will be looking to continue their fine run of form next Friday with a visit to Rome’s Stadio Olimpico against Lazio.
