Alex Sandro elected to pay tribute to the impact of his Bianconeri team-mates after turning in another fine performance on the flank during this afternoon’s commanding 4-0 triumph over Chievo in Verona.
The Brazilian wing-back, whose second Serie A strike of the term put the visitors three goals to the good by the midway point of the second half, believes his successful start to life in Turin is down to the support he has received since swapping Portugal for Italy at the end of August.
Speaking to the media after today’s win, Alex Sandro said: “I’m delighted. I have great team-mates and am settling in brilliantly. I’m growing in confidence on the pitch and that’s down to the group helping me out.”
The games keep coming thick and fast for the Bianconeri and Alex Sandro is in no mood to let up, with Wednesday’s meeting with Genoa next on the agenda.
He concluded: “We did well today, but we must keep improving. Wednesday won’t be easy, against a well-organised Genoa outfit.”
