Following another strong showing in the black and white last night against Udinese, this time deployed as a left winger in a 4-4-2 formation, Alex Sandro spoke to Sky Sport about his team’s philosophy this season, whilst looking ahead to the upcoming Champions League encounter away to Olympique Lyonnais this Tuesday.
Here follow the Brazilian’s standout quotations from today’s interview held in Vinovo.
Improvement always the aim
“We’re not thinking that we’re running away with the league title. We’re just focused on improving ourselves with every passing day.
“That’s what the manager asks of us: we need to keep working in order to develop technically, physically and psychologically. Our objective is to be better organised and that’s what we’re trying to achieve with each and every training session.”
Changing position not a problem
“I’m increasingly confident about whichever role the manager assigns me, both in terms of going forwards and defending. I’m feeling good and was happy with how things went last night too.”
Dybala a joy to work with
“Paulo scored two crucial goals both for himself and for the team. He’s always helping the side a great deal out on the pitch.”
All eyes on Olympique Lyonnais
“We’ve started working towards Tuesday’s match. We know that they’re a strong side with excellent players.”
