Andrea Barzagli says he is pleased with the introduction the Bianconeri have made to their 2016/17 campaign, complimenting the team on the way they have come through challenging encounters with Fiorentina and Lazio to emerge with all six points.
Speaking after tonight’s 1-0 away win over the Biancocelesti, Barzagli said: “We’ve come through two tough tests with six points. We were a little bit tentative in the first half, as we feared their threat on the counter, but we handled this well and then improved after the break.”
Crucial to helping Juventus in their quest for continual improvement will be the new faces drafted in during this summer’s transfer window, and the defender is confident in their ability to make the desired impact.
He concluded: “We need to keep raising the bar and improving. We’ve brought in some top quality players who will enable us to do this.”
