Eight minutes was all it took to get Gonzalo Higuain’s Juve account up and running three weeks ago, but the Bianconeri’s new number 9 went one better this time, all but seeing off Saturday’s visitors Sassuolo within the space of ten first-half minutes.
Two more goals, two more lessons in finishing. Here’s what il Pipita had to say after the final whistle at Juventus Stadium:
“It was tougher than it looked today. It was hot but we did superbly. I’m delighted to be here and my understanding with Paulo (Dybala) is growing with every minute. All that matters though is the fact that we’ve won and that we continue to play like this in the coming weeks.
“Rest assured, we’ll prepare for the opening night in the Champions League in the best possible fashion. It’s the most important competition in Europe and one we would love to win.”
