Barely 14 hours after beating Inter in last night’s league win at Juventus Stadium, Massimiliano Allegri’s men began preparations this afternoon for facing the same opposition in just two days’ time in Milan.
Wednesday’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg at the San Siro will be the fourth occasion this season that the Bianconeri take on the Nerazzurri and one in which they will look to build upon their 3-0 advantage established during the double-header’s opening encounter in Turin on 27 January.
While those involved in Sunday’s latest success over Roberto Mancini’s charges were given time to warm down and replenish their energy tanks ahead of the crucial clash to be played in just over 48 hours, the other squad members focused on fitness and a series of exercises working on technique.
Having exited the field of play during the first of half of yesterday’s win, Giorgio Chiellini did not take part in today’s training session in Vinovo and will undergo medical tests tomorrow.
Tuesday afternoon will also see the Bianconeri step up their preparations for the upcoming trip to Inter, with Allegri addressing the media at 11.30 CET. Supporters can follow his words live on the club's official English Twitter account.
