Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi says his men will have to pull out all the stops if they are to overcome reigning Serie A champions Juventus in tomorrow evening’s clash at the Stadio Olimpico.

Spirits are high in the Biancocelesti camp following a thrilling 4-3 opening day triumph over Atalanta, but Inzaghi warns that Massimiliano Allegri’s buoyant Bianconeri will represent a different test entirely in these opening flourishes of the campaign.

Previewing the clash in the capital, the 40-year-old said: “We passed our first test at a difficult venue, the team did a great job. Now we’re up against Juventus and we know we must put in a perfect performance, hoping they have an off day. It doesn’t happen often, but we’ll give our best and keep our fingers crossed.

“I would have preferred to have played another side at this stage of the season, but sooner or later we need to face everyone, and now’s our time to line up against the Bianconeri.

“We’re working on several solutions to break through the Juventus backline, even though we know it will be a tough task. They boast Buffon in goal, the Italian national defence and have brought in the likes of Pjanic, Dani Alves and Benatia. When they are at full strength and focused they are almost impenetrable.”
