Khedira: "Ready for Roma"

After a terrific derby day victory over Torino, Sami Khedira says that Juventus are "raring to go" again against Roma as first meets second in the final fixture of 2016 at Juventus Stadium.

While the standout news of this week has been the discovery of Juve's Champions League last 16 opponents Porto, Khedira insists that the Bianconeri have eyes only for the Giallorossi and bringing a history-making calendar year to an end in style.

The German, speaking to Sky Sport Italia today, has this to say of Saturday's showdown in Turin, derby day delight and February's trip to Portugal:

"When the top two meet, it is always a fantastic occasion. We will be the home side so that will give us an important advantage. The boys are raring to go already and we can't wait to test our mettle against a very good team in Roma.

"The derby was a great game. We did superbly to claw ourselves level before half time and even before then we were playing well, in spite of Torino's opening goal. It was a deserved win: Toro are tough to beat and it was an important result both for the players and the fans."

"The UCL draw? Porto are a good technical outfit and have demonstrated their quality by reaching the last 16. While you would not say that they are one of the favourites, they need to be approached with caution; only two perfect performances will see us through.

"As for ourselves, our challenge remains that of improving our style of pIay; we've made great strides in the past few weeks.
