Juventus’ Primavera put in a masterful performance this afternoon, as they eased to a 3-0 win away to Olympique Lyonnais in the UEFA Youth League.

In a relatively even first-half, the Bianconeri missed a golden opportunity to take a 24th-minute lead when Grigoris Kastanos hit his penalty over the crossbar.

The foul leading to the awarding of the spot-kick, however, saw Alexandre Roselli receive his marching orders, leaving Lyon with the tall order of playing for over an hour with just ten men.

The visitors did not take long to capitalise on their numerical advantage, Fabrizio Caligara rifling home the game’s opener with a spectacular shot from the edge of the area.

After the break, the Bianconeri kept control of the game and doubled their lead on the hour-mark when Mehdi Leris turned in Pietro Beruatto’s cross.

And two goals would become three in the 82nd minute courtesy of Luca Clemenza’s strike, the forward fresh from his weekend brace against Avellino.

The result puts Fabio Grosso’s young guns top of their Youth League group on six points. Their next fixture in the competition takes place on Wednesday 2 November when they host Lyon.
