Three Juventus players are flying the black and white flag in the hunt for a place in the 2016 UEFA.com users’ Team of the Year.
Following a rigorous selection process overseen by the website’s writers, Gianluigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci and Gonzalo Higuain have made it through to the final 40 candidates.
Their inclusion, based on individual performances for club and country in 2016, sees them join an illustrious list of footballing talent belonging to 21 different teams competing across six major European leagues.
Uefa.com users can now register their votes by selecting their top starting line-up from the 40-man shortlist, comprised of four goalkeepers, 12 defenders, 12 midfielders and 12 forwards.
Voting will remain open until Tuesday 3 January 2017, with the official Team of the Year to be revealed two days later on UEFA.com.
