A perfect performance to match a perfect group stage campaign.

Juventus’ Primavera powered through to the knockout stages of the Viareggio Cup this afternoon with a resounding 6-0 win over L.I.A.C New York, their third in as many matches in the prestigious youth tournament in Tuscany.

Following impressive victories over Deportivo Camioneros and Crotone in the opening two fixtures, Fabio Grosso’s saved their best until last today, scoring three times in each half to comfortably defeat a sub-standard New York side.

The Bianconeri would have Luca Clemenza and Nicolo Pozzebon to thank for an irresistible opening period, the former converting a penalty won by the latter to give Juve the lead with just seven minutes on the clock. Pozzebon would turn scorer shortly after the half-hour mark before Clemenza added his second moments later to all but end the tie as a contest 15 minutes short of the interval.

Juve were not to let up their intensity after the break though and wrapped up the points in style against their tiring visitors as Fabio Morselli, Guido Vadala and Tamba M’Pinda, his first as a Juventus player, struck late on to send the Bianconeri into the next round in the highest of spirits.

A well-earned three days’ rest awaits Grosso’s boys before they tackle the competition’s last 16 stage on Wednesday.

Bravi, ragazzi!
