Sunday’s match against Roma will rightly be remembered for Paulo Dybala’s late strike to seal an 11th straight Serie A win, but in the build-up to the Bianconeri’s showdown with the Giallorossi, supporters were also afforded off-pitch entertainment in the form of a new video named “Ballnado” based around the mantra shared by Juventus and Jeep “Where the others stop, we start playing.”

The video, devised by Leo Burnett, in collaboration with Independent Ideas, and directed by Laszlo Kadar on behalf of the creative agency Jo!Schmid, sees Dybala, Paul Pogba, Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci driving the Jeep Renegade, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Wrangler models across a desert.

Out of the blue, a tornado whips up before them, but this is nothing to worry the players about, who know that they can count on their sturdy vehicles even during the most adverse of road and weather conditions. In no way perturbed by the potential danger, the Bianconeri quartet get out of their cars and start kicking a ball against the swirling wind, which sends it back at breakneck speed and utterly unpredictable angles.

The four footballers, however, take delight in the challenge and exhibit tremendous touch and control, before performing increasingly spectacular skills. For them, the “Ballnado” has been an opportunity to shine rather than something to shy away from.

This attitude of overcoming any kind of obstacle forms an important part of Jeep’s famous mantra “Go anywhere, do anything.”

The video is also a way of celebrating together the latest extraordinary results, both of the Bianconeri on the back of a 13th consecutive victory across domestic competitions, and of the car manufacturer, which enjoyed a third straight year of considerable commercial success in 2015. Over the course of the past 12 months, Jeep posted a record number of sales (117,620 units) in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), representing a 55.7 per cent improvement on 2014.

In addition, Italian fans will be able to take part in an online quiz, which will offer two lucky participants a “VIP match travel” package – the opportunity to travel with the team during the next Champions League trip to Munich (further details on this initiative are available at www.jeepballnado.it).
