Buffon and Bonucci named in UEFA 2016 Team Of The Year

UEFA has today announced that Bianconeri duo Gianluigi Buffon and Leonardo Bonucci have been named in UEFA.com’s 2016 Team of the Year.

Buffon makes the prestigious line-up for the fourth time in his career, while Bonucci becomes the third Juve defender ever to be included in the final XI after Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluca Zambrotta in 2006.

Making up the rest of the 4-3-3 voted by UEFA.com users are Jerome Boateng, Gerard Piqué and Sergio Ramos, who join Bonucci across the backline.

Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Andres Iniesta form the three-man midfield. Meanwhile in attack, there’s Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann.
