Two hundred journalists from around the world and a host of live transmissions on Facebook: all eyes were on Juventus Stadium for the UCL final Media Day

Not for the first time this season, Juventus Stadium became the scene of a truly global event on Monday afternoon, opening its doors to the press for the Champions League final Media Day.

With the eyes of the world watching, Massimiliano Allegri’s team officially lit the touch paper on the Road to Cardiff with an hour-long open training session out on the field shortly after coach Allegri and vice-captain Giorgio Chiellini had conducted their pre-match press conference in front of a packed media suite at the Stadium.

    MEDIA DAY FACTS AND FIGURES

As many as 200 accredited journalists were at hand to report the pair’s words, 20 of which were official UEFA broadcasters from countries around the globe, including Spain, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, France, Greece, USA, Brazil, Poland, Slovenia, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany with representatives of the written press from Venezuela, Argentina and Colombia.

Approximately 100 interviews were conducted in the mixed zone of Juventus Stadium with  a large portion of the Juve squad facing the cameras to offer their pre-match thoughts.

Among them were Stefano Sturaro, Juan Cuadrado, Andrea Barzagli and Gonzalo Higuain who spoke live on Juventus.com and the club’s official Italian language Facebook page with Kwadwo Asamoah and Miralem Pjanic answering supporters’ questions in English.

An important first step on the week-long journey to the Welsh capital, the entirety of which was captured across the Bianconeri’s social media channels from Twitter to Instagram via Snapchat and Jtv.
