No matter how many times you experience Villar Perosa, it's always special. Few know that better than defender Andrea Barzagli who begins his seventh full season as a Bianconero.
"It's always nice to come back to Villar Perosa because every year we are reminded of Juve's history," opened Barzagli. "Here you feel the passion for the shirt. It's a special day for the fans and for us."
While the first team was unable to find the breakthrough goal in a match that lasted 50 minutes before the traditional pitch invasion, Barzagli says the squad is ready to transfer all of the positive energy from today into Saturday's Serie A curtain-raiser against Cagliari.
"We are nearing the start of the season and while our condition is not necessarily at the top, it is the same for all of the other teams.
"Against Cagliari, it will be important to be at our best mentally."
