Medhi Benatia believes Juve were short-changed on Saturday night despite having to wait until injury time for an equaliser.

The Bianconeri created plenty of chances in the second period following Adem Ljajic's free-kick opener shortly after the break but only got themselves on level terms when substitute Gonzalo Higuain fired home late on.

“We were a bit unlucky because we deserved more tonight. We could have been a bit more patient but we bossed the game and only conceded from a set piece. We were good for at least a point,” the 30-year-old observed.

“Now we have to keep working hard. The players who started tonight gave their absolute all and showed they're ready to step in when needed. No one would have had anything to say if we'd scored the first goal tonight and that shows you the quality we had out there.”

“We have to focus on Tuesday now, then it's off to Rome and we'll try to secure the title then.”
