What better way to begin the Juventus Summer Tour 2017 by Jeep than a reunion with a legend? Shortly after arriving in New York on Thursday afternoon, the Bianconeri caught up with Andrea Pirlo for a stroll around the stylish Chelsea district – a trendy part of town that the ‘Maestro’ has called home since moving across the pond and he was only too keen to show his ex-colleagues around.

After trying out the famed ‘Black and White Cookies’ – a typical New York biscuit, bearing the perfect colours for the satisfied Bianconeri tour party – Pirlo and co. climbed up the steps to the city’s Highline, where Claudio Marchisio, Tomas Rincon and Douglas Costa had fun doing kick-ups with two freestylers to the excitement of passers-by seizing the opportunity of selfies and signatures with their stars.

After waving goodbye to Pirlo, one part of the group headed off to Duggal Greenhouse Building to take part in an event organised by adidas marking Juve’s arrival in the USA and also the launch of the club’s new Third Kit for the 2017/18 season. A festival of football soon ensued with representatives from the Official Fan Clubs of Silicon Valley, Mexico and New York City also involved.

At the same time, another group of players comprising of Sami Khedira, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Mario Mandzukic, paid a visit to the Hublot boutique store on the 5th Avenue.

All in all, it had been a frenetic first day of the Juventus Summer Tour 2017 – perfectly in line with the city’s fast-paced lifestyle.

From Friday however, it’s time to hit the training pitches and prepare for the first match of pre-season this Saturday (kick-off at 18:05 local time) against Barcelona at the Metlife Stadium.
