With two days to go until the weekend's big match, the Juventus defender speaks about the challenge of facing Lazio

      READY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

"The confidence that the club has placed in me makes me feel proud and I will always do my best in order to repay that trust. I know that I'm at an important club with so many great champions, and in a long and difficult season we will definitely need everyone.

"What matters is that I am always ready to make a difference on the pitch and to give 100%. I know that I still have a lot to improve on and I can reach a higher level. The aim for me is to play more and more, to do well and to become an important player for this team."

      LOOKING FORWARDS TO LAZIO

"It was a strange match in Bergamo: we started well but we should have been more solid. We have to learn from this experience and react immediately against Lazio in order to recover the points that we lost. It will be a very important month in which we will have to come up with some big performances."

      DISAPPOINTMENT AFTER THE SUPER CUP

"That defeat hurt us, and we want to make amends. Of course, it will be a very different challenge. That was a one-off match, played in Rome, while this Saturday's is a Serie A fixture.

"We know that Lazio are a strong team full of quality players that would give anyone problems. As for individual players, Ciro Immobile is one of the best strikers in the league, he is a complete player and one that we will have to keep a close eye on."

      THE NEW ARRIVALS

"Our newcomers are talented players and they're doing well. It's not easy to come to Juve and immediately be at your best. It takes time to acclimatise, especially for those who come from abroad. They all have great quality though, and I'm sure that they will prove their worth during the season."

BUFFON & DYBALA UP FOR THE BALLON D'OR

"What is there to say about Gigi that hasn't been said already? He is a great champion from every point of view. What is surprising about Paulo however, is that every year he improves so much that he seems to be like a new player. The quality that he has will bring him great satisfaction."

WHO ARE JUVE'S RIVALS THIS SEASON?

"We know that in Serie A, Napoli and Roma are contenders, with Inter and Milan who were slightly behind them but have now improved. Surely now this is going to be a more balanced and difficult championship. The same can be said about the Champions League, where now the likes of PSG are listed amongst the big, big teams in the competition."
