The Juventus Women just keep making statements.

For the second straight weekend, the Bianconere battled one of the best in Serie A and for the second straight weekend they came away with a shutout victory topping reigning champions Fiorentina 2-0 at the Ale&Ricky Pitch in Vinovo.

On a chilly night in the outskirts of Turin, the Juventus Women started strong and nearly took the lead in the third minute as Benedetta Glionna found space down the wing but her cross flashed through the box unable to find a forward.

However, the Bianconere would take the lead in spectacular fashion in the 20th minute as Martina Rosucci found space in the midfield 25 yards from goal. She let fly with a right-footed blast that gave the goalkeeper no chance and will surely be a candidate for the December Goal of the Month!

Beyond that goal, chances were few and far between for both sides in the first 45 minutes.

Things opened up in the second half and Fiorentina nearly equalized in the 47th minute as Bonetti was played through and rounded Laura Giuliani, but somehow the Juve ‘keeper got a touch to the shot sending it out for a corner.

In the 69th minute, Juve nearly doubled the lead as Sanna Franssi headed a corner onto the crossbar, but it wouldn’t be long before Rita Guarino’s side was celebrating again.

Rosucci put the cherry on top of her match-winning performance finding her second goal of the night in the 80th minute. Some great work from Bonansea and Franssi eventually saw the ball find its way to Rosucci and the Italy international made no mistake firing home emphatically from the edge of the area to put Juve up 2-0.

With the win, the Bianconere move to a perfect 8 for 8 on the season with 24 points. Next up for Guarino’s side is a Coppa Italia second round match against a similarly-named Juventus Torino side while the next league match is set for 16 December away to Zaccaria.
