Juve rack up their 30th consecutive home victory thanks to Alex Sandro's opener and an own goal from Lukasz Skorupski

From Porto to Empoli, two hugely important wins in Juventus' hunt for silverware.

After stunning the Estadio do Dragao in the UEFA Champions League last 16 during midweek, a repeat 2-0 result for the Bianconeri in Turin just a few days later saw them rack up a staggering 30th consecutive home victory.

A tight first half gave way to a more open and productive second period for Juve, Allegri's men needing just seven minutes to break the deadlock after the interval as Mario Mandzukic's thumping header was fumbled over the line via the crossbar by goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski.

The points were secured a quarter of an hour later: Dani Alves picked out Alex Sandro in the box for the Brazilian to expertly spin away from his marker and arrow a shot into the net on the angle.

Another win at the Stadium, another step closer to the Scudetto.

      WHAT THEY SAID

“This win takes us one step closer to our objective but there's still a fair way to go. There are lots of games to play and seasons can change very quickly."

      Daniele Rugani

"We've won nothing at the moment. There's a long way to go and we have to focus on ourselves, not what the others are doing. We're out in front so it's in our own hands."
