Marchisio reflects on Bologna win

Claudio Marchisio praised his team-mates after they dispatched Bologna 3-0 at Juventus Stadium on Sunday night.

“We played well, were comfortable throughout and managed the game well,” began the Italian midfielder. “It was important to show a reaction at our stadium, in front of our fans.

“The year has just begun – we have many matches left to play, starting on Wednesday, but we’ve got off to a good start. We want to win matches and keep improving.”

Marchisio was quick to underline the strength of Sunday’s opponents, regardless of the comfortable 3-0 scoreline.

“Bologna are a good side and we’ve often found it tough against [Roberto] Donadoni’s teams. We wanted to bounce back after Doha.”
