DECEMBER TO REMEMBER

The month of December was certainly one to remember for the Bianconeri who finished with six wins and a draw from their seven matches while allowing just one goal.

It started out with an all-important 1-0 win away to Napoli before a decisive 2-0 win away to Olympiacos that confirmed passage to the UCL knock-out round.

A goalless draw with Inter was the only blip on the record before wins against Bologna, Genoa, Roma and Verona ended 2017 with the third four-match winning streak of the season. The Bianconeri have not won five matches in a row this campaign, something they'll be looking to achieve on Wednesday night.

THE CUP SO FAR

Entering in the round of 16, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain were on target for the Bianconeri as they dispatched Genoa 2-0 on 20 December.

A goal from La Joya just before half-time eased tensions and Pipita came off the bench to seal the deal for Juventus late on. This is the 11th straight year the Bianconeri have reached the quarterfinals of the cup.

For Torino, Wednesday night will be the first Coppa Italia quarterfinal in nearly ten years having last reached this stage in the 2008/09 season. Torino defeated Trapani 7-1 in the third round of the competition back in early August before defeating Carpi in the fourth round in November.

The Toros pulled off the upset in the round of 16 going to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome and defeating Roma 2-1 in a famous win for the other Turin club.
