Matuidi: "Team performance the most important thing"

Blaise Matuidi may have scored a fine goal to cap a commanding showing in Juventus’ 3-0 win over Bologna on Sunday, but the Frenchman was keen to stress the importance of the team performance rather than dwelling on his personal contribution.

"The most important thing is the win and the way the team played," said Matuidi after the game. "We worked really hard to produce a top performance here in Bologna. We’re really pleased because we played well and looked very solid today."

Matuidi called for Juventus to immediately switch their focus to their coming games following Sunday’s result.

"We have a big week coming up with matches against Genoa and Roma – let’s keep it up," he said.
