Paulo Dybala extends his Juventus contract until 30 June 2022

Juventus Football Club is pleased to announce that Paulo Dybala has renewed his contract until 30 June 2022, extending a journey that began in July 2015.

"I've always just wanted to succeed in everything that I do and I know that Juventus is the perfect place to be if you want to win things."

In the months that followed Paulo Dybala's opening statement as a new Bianconeri player, he would add Italian Super Cup, Serie A and Coppa Italia titles to his name, maiden career trophies clinched thanks to his top-scoring tally of 23 goals in all competitions.

If last season's stellar showing represented a breakthrough at the very highest level, those to come in the next few years wearing the black and white stripes will be the ones that propel him into the stratosphere of the world game.

A show-stopping double against Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday night was evidence enough of that.

Now operating in a slightly deeper role, the Argentine is coming of age in a Juventus jersey and his performances since the turn of the year have been nothing short of spectacular.

Since netting 14 minutes into his Juve debut in the Super Cup final in Shanghai in August 2015, no one has created more chances (137) or completed more dribbles (178) than Dybala while his 39 goals and 16 assists in all competitions make him both the team's leading scorer and provider over the past 18 months.

Only Leonardo Bonucci and Gianluigi Buffon have made more appearances in that time.

But it hasn’t just been the quantity of the talented number 21’s contributions that have endeared him to the home faithful, it has been the quality of them.

Paulo's strikes last season against the likes of Sassuolo, Milan, Fiorentina and Roma last term will all live long in the memory and his scoring run throughout the Spring this time around has thrust his side to within inches of a second consecutive domestic double and to the brink of the UCL semi-finals.

Clearly, the moments of brilliance that have characterised his stay in Turin so far are in inexhaustible supply.

Juventus is stepping into the future and they will be doing so joined by La Joya for the next five years.
